MetaTrader’s removal from App Store: What Happened?
Having been around for more than a decade, the MetaTrader platform has rocketed in popularity, becoming the top choice for online traders as well as industry stakeholders. However, as of 23rd September 2022, Apple has pulled MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) from the App Store.
MetaQuotes, the company behind MT4 and MT5, received news from Apple stating that the applications do not comply with the App Store’s reviewed guidelines. Details regarding the case have yet to be confirmed by MetaQuotes [1].
However, the desktop version of MT4 and MT5 still remain available, while Android users can rest assured knowing that the Google Play Store versions have not been affected.
MT4 and MT5 Alternatives
With no resolution in sight for now, traders may wish to explore other alternatives. Here are three in-house options for you to consider.
1. Vantage WebTrader
Vantage WebTrader, a web-based platform offers traders a convenient alternative to traditional downloadable trading software like MT4 and MT5. As a web platform, it can be accessed easily without the need to download any software, making it ideal for online brokers and traders who value speed and convenience.
